How our AI 3D generator works

With our AI 3D generator, you can create printable 3D models from your ideas in just a few minutes. There are two ways to do this.

1. text to 3D (text-to-3D)

Describe the desired object in words. Models created in this way are always publicly visible in the community.

• Input: Enter a description in German or English (e.g. “A small dragon on a treasure chest, comic style”).
• Start: Click on “Create”.

2. image to 3D (image-to-3D)

If you already have sketches or photos, you can use them directly. You have two options:

• Upload an image: Uses our latest AI version and delivers the highest quality of detail. The AI completes non-visible sides of the object independently.
• Upload multiple images (up to 4): Gives you more control over the final result as you can show the object from different angles (e.g. front, side, back). An older AI version is used here – the quality of detail may therefore be slightly lower.

This is how it works:

• Open the “Image to 3D” tab and upload your image(s).
• Private mode (only available here): Activate the “🔒 Private” switch if you do not want your templates and the generated model to be displayed publicly.
• Click on “Create from images”.

Next steps

Once the model has been calculated, which usually takes one to three minutes, an interactive 3D preview appears.

• Check: Rotate and zoom the model to check details.
• Paint (optional): Use the “Paint” function to create new colors or textures using AI.
• Have it printed: When you are satisfied, select a print option under the model (e.g. “Calculate SLA (Resin)”). The model is automatically transferred to the price calculator.

Notes on rights of use

• Physical prints: All 3D prints produced and delivered by us belong to you. You may use them without restriction, including commercially (e.g. for resale).
• Digital model data: The generated 3D files (e.g. .glb, .stl) are not released for commercial use, reproduction or resale as a file. The generator is primarily used for the implementation of print orders via our service.
• Community & further use by us:
  • Text-to-3D: These models are automatically published in the public community gallery.
  • Picture-to-3D: These models are publicly visible unless the private mode has been activated during upload.
  • Granting of rights: For all publicly listed models, you grant us the right to use the model data commercially and to produce and offer the models to other customers. If you would like to exclude this for your own image templates, please use “Image to 3D” with private mode activated.
